questions

Does Meta Pocket Require Coding?

Pocket is designed around natural-language creation rather than a normal coding workflow.

Quick answer

No. You can make a Pocket gizmo by describing it in ordinary language and refining the result in the editor; writing code is not a prerequisite.

What you do instead of coding

  1. State one interaction: tap, drag, tilt, choose or draw.
  2. Describe the goal and the lose or end condition.
  3. Generate a first version and play it immediately.
  4. Ask for one change at a time, such as slower movement or a clearer score.

No-code does not mean no design

The AI can implement instructions, but it cannot rescue a vague loop. You still decide what the player does, what feedback appears, how difficulty changes and when the experience ends. Those decisions matter more than technical vocabulary.

When coding knowledge still helps

Programming experience helps you diagnose state, collision, timing and performance problems and describe fixes precisely. However, Pocket is currently positioned as a consumer creation platform, not as a place where users must inspect or maintain source code.
