Can You Export Games From Meta Pocket?

Pocket is easy to create with, but export is currently one of its biggest limitations.

Quick answer

Not as a conventional standalone game, based on the public documentation we could verify. Pocket lets you publish and share gizmos inside its ecosystem, but Meta does not currently document source-code or executable export.

Export, sharing and data export are different

ActionWhat it meansStatus
Publish/share a gizmoOther Pocket users can play or remix itDocumented
Export Pocket informationDownload a copy of account-related data through Accounts CentreDocumented
Export game code/buildTake source files or a standalone app outside PocketNot documented

Why this changes the buying decision

If your goal is experimentation or social reach, in-platform publishing may be enough. If your goal is Steam, itch.io, an app store, self-hosting or long-term maintenance, lack of a documented production export is a major constraint.

A safer workflow

Validate the mechanic in Pocket, record the rules and retain your prompts, then rebuild the successful concept in an export-friendly tool or conventional engine. Do not assume a future export feature will arrive on your schedule.
